EN54545 relates to fire protection in railway vehicles - Part 2 sets requirement for fire behaviours of materials and components

For printed circuits, it sets requirements for fire resistance, quantity and toxicity of fumes emitted.

It imposes to test the printed circuits with its soldermask and it s conformal coating.

Safe-PCB has asked CREPIM (France), a notified body fire and smoke certification, to classify the following structures as required R25 of EN 45545-2:

PCB 1 and 2 layers - thickness 0.6 to 3.2 mm

Multilayer PCB - thickness 0.6 to 3.2 mm

Safe-PCB standard FR4  : SHENGYI - S1000H

Safe-PCB green standard soldermask : KSM - KSM-6188-G3

Conformal coating: ABchimie - AVR80BA

The classification issued by CREPIM is therefore valid only for PCBs manufactured by Safe-PCB with FR4 S1000H, soldermask KSM-6188-G3, and tropicalized after installation of components with conformal coating AVR80BA.
