SEPARATION : SCORING (V-CUT)
For rectangular PCBs, this separation method guarantees the best results. A V-groove is cut on each side of the PCB with a cutting tooling. The PCBs become so easy to separate manually. The result is perfect.
Technical Specifications of scoring :
. The depth and width of the groove depends on the thickness of the board.
. The material thickness after scoring (B) is equal to 1/3 of the original thickness of the board (A).
. The material thickness after scoring (B) is equal to 1/3 of the original thickness of the board (A).
. The cutting angle of the tool is 30 °
. Configuring your panel on our web, the space between PCBs must be set to 0 mm.
. The tolerance on the final size of the circuit is increased by + / - 0.2 mm
SomePCBs with a particular shape can lead us to modify these standard values to facilitate separation.
Below 0.4 mm PCB thickness: V-Cut not possible.
